Thank you for visiting PreferredVendor, Inc's (“PreferredVendor”) Internet web site (“Site”) located at the URL PreferredVendor.com. The Site is a business-to-business career site that offers services to facilitate online recruiting transactions between staffing vendors (“Staffing Vendors”) and potential employers (“Hiring Companies”). This Privacy Policy details certain policies implemented throughout PreferredVendor governing PreferredVendor’s use of personally identifiable information about users of our Site and users of our services on this Site.
Privacy Policy Updates
Due to the Internet’s rapidly evolving nature, PreferredVendor may need to update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If so, PreferredVendor will post notice of its updated Privacy Policy on our Site located at PreferredVendor.com so you are always aware of what personally identifiable information we may collect and how we may use this information. PreferredVendor encourages you to review this Privacy Policy regularly for any changes. Your continued use of this Site and/or continued provision of personally identifiable information to us will be subject to the terms of the then-current Privacy Policy.
Information Collection and Use
You can generally visit our Site without revealing any personally identifiable information about yourself. However, in certain sections of this Site, we may invite you contact us with questions or comments or request information, complete a registration form and/or profile and/or submit Hiring Company job postings or Staffing Vendor hiring candidate resumes. Due to the nature of some of these activities, we may collect personally identifiable information such as your company name, address, email address, phone number, password and other contact information or your hiring candidates’ names, addresses, email addresses, phone numbers, passwords and other contact information that you voluntarily transmit to us with your communication. We also may collect information about you and your use of our Site, services and/or software through your use of our Site, services and/or software.
We may use your personally identifiable information to register you to use our services, contact you to deliver certain services or information you have requested, verify your authority to enter our Site, improve the content and general administration of the Site and our services, provide you with notices regarding services that you have purchased or may wish to purchase in the future and for targeted advertising.
If you opted to receive communications from PreferredVendor such as promotional e-mails, product offerings and communications relevant to your use of the Site when you registered to use the Site but subsequently wish to cease receiving such communications, we encourage you to indicate your preference to unsubscribe or opt-out from receiving such communications by updating your account in accordance with the Updating, Correcting and Deleting Personally Identifiable Information section below. In the alternative, if you initially opted not to receive such communications from PreferredVendor, you may later opt-in to receive such communications by updating your account in the same manner.
Candidate Resumes and Job Postings
PreferredVendor gives Staffing Vendors two (2) options with respect to Hiring Companies accessing such Staffing Vendor’s profile information and candidate resumes:
- The Staffing Vendor can store its candidate resumes in PreferredVendor’s candidate resume database (“Resume Database”) without making such candidate resumes searchable by Hiring Companies. The Staffing Vendor will have the ability to submit a candidate for a particular job through the Site, but Hiring Companies will not have access to search for the Staffing Vendor’s candidates through the Resume Database; or
- The Staffing Vendor can allow its candidate resumes to be searchable by Hiring Companies who have access to the Resume Database (or copies thereof), which will provide the Hiring Companies the ability to search for and access the Staffing Vendor’s candidate resumes.
PreferredVendor will attempt to limit access to the Resume Database only to paying Hiring Companies and law enforcement and other governmental agencies in accordance with the terms of the Disclosure section below. PreferredVendor, however, cannot guarantee that other third parties will not gain access to the Resume Database, and PreferredVendor is not responsible for the use made of candidate profiles by any Hiring Companies or third parties who access the Resume Database.
PreferredVendor will disseminate a Hiring Company’s job postings either to (i) the Staffing Vendors the Hiring Company designates or (ii) all Staffing Vendors if the specific Hiring Company designates that such Hiring Company’s job postings be made available to all Staffing Vendors on an unrestricted basis.
Cookies and Web Beacons
We may use small text files called cookies to improve overall Site experience. A cookie is a piece of data stored on the user's hard drive containing information about the user. Cookies generally do not permit us to personally identify you. We may also use “Web beacons” that monitor your use of our Websites. Web beacons (or Web bugs) are small strings of code that provide a method for delivering a graphic image on a Web page for the purpose of transferring data, such as the IP (Internet Protocol) address of the computer that downloaded the page on which the Web beacon appears, the URL (Uniform Resource Locator) of the page on which the Web beacon appears, the time the page containing the Web beacon was viewed, the types of browser that fetched the Web beacon and the identification number of any cookie on the computer previously placed by that server. When corresponding with you via HTML capable e-mail, Web beacons let us know whether you received and opened our e-mail.
If you choose to furnish the Site with personally identifiable information, this information can be stored in or linked to other data stored in the cookies/Web beacons.

Aggregate Information
The Site may track the total number of visitors to our Site, the number of visitors to each page of our Site, browser type, IP addresses, External Web Sites (defined below) linked to, and we may analyze this data for trends and statistics in the aggregate, but such information will be maintained, used and disclosed in aggregate form only and it will not contain personally identifiable information. We may use such aggregate information to analyze trends, administer the Site, track users' movement, and gather broad demographic information for aggregate use.
Disclosure
We may provide your personally identifiable information and the data generated by cookies and the aggregate information to the vendors and service agencies that we may engage to assist us in providing our services to you. For example, we may provide your personally identifiable information to a credit card processing company to process your payment. We will also disclose your personally identifiable information (a) only if we are required to do so by law, regulation or other government authority or otherwise in cooperation with an ongoing investigation of a governmental authority, (b) to enforce the PreferredVendor Terms of Use agreement or to protect our rights or (c) to protect the safety of users of our Site and our services. We will not sell your personally identifiable information to any company or organization except we may transfer your personally identifiable information to a successor entity upon a merger, consolidation or other corporate reorganization in which PreferredVendor participates or to a purchaser or acquirer of all or substantially all of PreferredVendor’s assets to which this Site relates.

The Site may provide links to other Web sites or resources over which PreferredVendor does not have control (“External Web Sites”). Such links do not constitute an endorsement by PreferredVendor of those External Web Sites. You acknowledge that PreferredVendor is providing these links to you only as a convenience, and further agree that PreferredVendor is not responsible for the content of such External Web Sites. Your use of External Web Sites is subject to the terms of use and privacy policies located on the linked to External Web Sites.
Security
We may employ procedural and technological measures, consistent with industry practice. Such measures are reasonably designed to help protect your personally identifiable information from loss, unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration or destruction. PreferredVendor may use secure socket layer, encryption and other security measures to help prevent unauthorized access to your personally identifiable information.
Updating, Correcting and Deleting Personally Identifiable Information
PreferredVendor provides you with the ability to review, correct and update your personally identifiable information that you provide to us by accessing and modifying this information on the “MyPreferredVendor” page.
- To change your Vendor Profile, simply log into the “MyPreferredVendor” page, click edit inside your “Vendor Profile.”
- To change your account billing information, simply log into the “MyPreferredVendor” page and choose a link under “Manage Your Account.”
In addition, you can delete your candidate profiles from the Site’s online database. In the event you terminate your account, we will remove all copies of your candidate profiles and your account information from the Site, however, that PreferredVendor will retain a copy in its files of all personally identifiable information, even if removed, in order to resolve disputes or enforce its terms of use.
